Reinier de Graaf: On London

OMA's partner in charge of several projects in London (as well as Russia and Europe), Reinier de Graaf talks with architectural writer and Deputy Chair of the Design Council, Paul Finch, about the extreme difficulties of building in the capital.
Reinier talks about the process OMA was part of in the developments of White City, how politics influence the imagery that explains a project and how eventually nothing happened here.
According to De Graaf London is a place where tradition is deeply rooted which makes the mockery of this tradition go equally far. London has so much confidence, De Graaf argues, that while having an image, London can afford to be completely oblivious to that same image.
