Historical Modeling is a pattern for synchronizing data between different systems. We walk through an example of a historical model for a fulfillment system. Orders placed on a web site are picked, packed, and shipped by a warehouse. They are also invoiced and paid by billing and accounts receivable. Historical Modeling lets all these systems collaborate and keeps all of the data in sync.
