From 1950 to 1975, the US military conducted chemical and biological tests on almost 7,000 US soldiers at the Edgewood Arsenal facility in Maryland, often without their informed consent. Since then US troops have been used as test subjects in numerous medical trials, often without proper follow-up or compensation for injury.
