campfire in canterbury. "varðeldur" is "campfire" in Icelandic, due to the sigur ros soundtrack; thank god for babelfish.

the man at the end wandered over to our little camp to warm his hands and said simply that he had just come from cremating his mother at a nearby chapel. it seemed to be a very special moment for him.
