Woody Allen and His New Orleans Jazz Band have been delighting audiences with a hot mix of New Orleans inspired music. Woody and the band have been performing together for more than 35 years and reviewing the roster of musicians conjures old-time jazz flavor:
Eddy Davis (musical director/banjo). Eddy has performed with dozens of musical luminaries including Benny Goodman, Leon Redbone, Tom Waits, and the original Dukes of Dixeland. He is a music performer, creator, conductor, producer, and director.
Conal Fowkes (piano). Born in Zambia, grown up in Mexico and England, Conal contributes a whorl of enticing international rhythms to the band and has performed with other notables including Wynton Marsalis, The Manhattan Rhythm Kings, and Bette Midler.
Simon Wettenhall (trumpet). Simon brings his talents from his native Australia, but he has played concert halls around the globe as one of the world’s most accomplished trumpeters.
Jerry Zigmont (trombone). A musical prodigy from an early age, Jerry has toured the world extensively as one of the foremost disciples of the genuine New Orleans trombone style.
John Gill (drums). One-time member of the legendary Turk Murphy’s band, John has an extensive history playing in clubs, dives, fabulous concert halls, and wherever else his muse takes him.
Greg Cohen (bass). Active as a performer, writer, composer, and more, Greg has performed around the world with luminaries that include David Sanborn, Tom Waits, Marisa Monte, and David Byrne.
