congratulations, you can colour-grade!
A bunch of shots don't necessarily tell a story, or at least a coherent story.
Rule # 2.
Cool colour-grading does not equal art.
Rule # 3.
Less is not always more, particularly in this case.
All of the above - IMHO.
It's sad to think you feel it's just colour-grading. If you engage with it, it's a careful selection of a lot of shots - along all axes - with different depths, in a very short space of time; with varying tones, and flashbacks in there, jpegs, apt transitions, a provocative NAT sound, and so on. All in 30secs. With a handycam. It's a lively experiment, and I like to think vimeo welcomes it!
I'm glad it provoked a response.
But to be honest it took me 2 times to watch plus the synopsis before I caught the whole idea.
By no means do I think it's kitsch. No doubt it's fresh :)
Bravo for making 30 seconds which are worth watching!
