When children start drawing people for the first time at the age of 2/3, they only draw a head with big eyes and 2 sticky legs, no body. Scientists think this is how very small children perceive adults. At their eye level they first see feet and legs, and when they look up, the child sees a head with big eyes, because the adult bends forward to the child. These drawings are called head-footers.
