A local kayaker, Kate Duffus had the idea to paddle round the English Lake District. The film follows a team of three paddlers as they take on the challenge of completing 'The Cumberland Ring' in 7 days. The route started by descending the rivers Eden and Lune, and then was completed by paddling the 112 mile coastal stretch between their estuaries. The difference between the two river valleys is clear. This contrasts heavily when followed by the broad skies of the Cumbrian coast.

The filming was done on the hoof by the team as they paddled, camped and cooked throughout the journey.
