Event Description: The Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association (CHPCA) is embarking on the second phase of a national advance care planning initiative – Speak Up: Start the conversation about end-of-life care. Join us from the comfort of your office or home and participate in an online event to learn about this exciting initiative led by a national Task Force and managed by the CHPCA. Participants joining us will be introduced to the Speak Up Campaign, learn about valuable resources made available as part of the campaign, and discuss how to become involved in your own communities and agencies across Canada!

Presenter Bio: Our presenter, Louise Hanvey, is the Project Manager for the CHPCA’s national project – Advance Care Planning in Canada: National Framework and Implementation. In that role she has been involved in the creation and launch of the National Advance Care Planning Day in Canada. Louise was the Project Manager for the Educating Future Physicians in Palliative and End-of-Life Care for the Association of Canadian Medical Schools of Canada and the CHPCA. She has also been the Project Manager the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer’s palliative care education program for the oncology community – EPEC™-O Canada. Louise is an RN and practices clinically in public health.
