Starry Night Stories™ was a fundraising event to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Children of Bellevue's Reach Out and Read that took place in New York City on Monday, October 3, 2011.
Our Honorary Co-Chairs Julianne Moore and Bart Freundlich brought together some of their friends from the entertainment world to share the magic of bringing children’s books to life by simulating what happens in the pediatric clinic at Bellevue Hospital every day. Actors Billy Crudup, Ana Gasteyer, Samuel L. Jackson, Julianne Moore, John C. Reilly, LaTanya Richardson and Brooke Shields read selected children’s books as the illustrated pages appeared on a large screen, allowing the audience of “grown-ups” to follow along.
