this was one of the first film pieces i created in my undergrad study, and is probably still one of my favourite ones! set the template for future interests and works, also really got me hooked on using silent super 8... i never looked back ;)

    very nice.

quick note, to get rid of the horizontal banding, you should deinterlace your video when exporting :)

thanks for the comment, yeh..the banding is a bit annoying..always forget about the deinterlacing! will try this again...

sometimes i don't mind the horizontal bands that the interlace makes. in fact, in certain clips i like it better. the vid - its a great overall comp with great sound and motion and 'dirty lens' effects or whatever its called (pardon my amateur lingo). @# really nice work; all of your motion/sound studies; very inspiring; out of curiosity, what is/was your undergrad major?

my undergrad study was time based art, now studying a masters of science in electronic imaging...thanks for the comments ;)

is time based art considered a subdivision of graphic design where you studied (thats how my school organizes its' curriculums), or is it more of a fine-art-visual-communication? i'm curious as to what kind of classes you took, i suppose. i don't even know if my questions make any sense, sorry, but thank you for the replies :*)

no worries... time based art is considered a division of fine art... it was really quite free work wise.. although most work in my class was created with film/video... video art, documentary film, drama... pretty much anything goes...

i see. i'm just trying to find myself and where i fit in, because i am studying graphic design but i don't have much of an interest in corporate or advertising stuff, so i'm just thinking about my options. thanks again.

actually i think my school does have a separate time based discipline of fine art.
