“I’m a premium kind of n*gga,” Asaad boasts in his interview with Ruby Hornet. When I first met up with Asaad on the Highline Boardwalk in NYC, it was apparent this statement had some validity. Decked out in a vintage 1997 Bathing Ape sweater, Asaad clearly has a soft spot for high fashion. Oh yea, his music ain’t bad either. Asaad flooded the blogoshpere in the last quarter of 2011, dropping Dirty Middle Class and SVMO within days of each other. Asaad has kept the momentum going in 2012, releasing tracks upon tracks. When itstheBino met up with Asaad we discussed his background, his mentors, his thoughts on fashion and what Dirty Middle Class means as a movement. Listen up. Hop on the bandwagon now before it’s too late.
