This might just have been the first nice weekend of 2009 in the Capital District. Winter, be gone! For now...

I took my friend Jessica for a little bike ride along the Hudson, in the Corning Preserve.

I attached my small Canon SD870IS to the front of my bike using a Gorillapod and recorded the whole ride, for kicks and giggles. Until the battery died after only 14 minutes, that is. Ouch!

The original video is actually quite sharp, but extremely shaky since it was getting every little vibrations from the pavement. Once sped up a 1000%, this was pretty much impossible to watch without puking. I stabilized the footage in Premiere a little, which lowered the resolution dramatically, then had to save it back to a new file, which removed even more details. I time-remapped it to 1000%, added some music, a few cameos, an end title, etc. Quite blurry at the end, sorry.
