The actress Zoe Wanamaker, (daughter of Sam Wanamaker, founder of the rebuilt Globe), appeals for funding and seat sponsorship to build another, smaller, more intimate theatre, behind the Globe, to be called The Jacobite Theatre. This will recreate the atmosphere (by candlelight) and size of the theatre which Shakespeare wrote his later plays for. The Globe needed to raise £8m to pay for it.
This will seat 300, and will be entirely covered, unlike the Globe's seating 1500, and only partly covered.
(Jacobite is the term for the reign of King James 1st of England, 6th of Scotland, who was Mary Queen of Scots son, and became ruler of the whole of the UK after Elizabeth's, and Mary's - deaths).
I filmed the interview, and GV's.
