Michael Forsberg and Mike Farrell have teamed up to answer the questions:
Where does our water come from?
Where does it go?
How do we manage and use it?
The Platte Basin Time-lapse Project - PBT - is an online forum where we'll explore these questions using time-lapse technology applied through an entire watershed, from the high country in Colorado, through the dams and reservoirs of Wyoming, to the prairies and croplands of Nebraska.
Our project links images, videos, data, and text to convey a story of the Platte River Basin that spans places and spans time - by days, months, years, even decades. By compressing time we'll show the river's processes in ways that we can't normally perceive them. And in doing so inspire a conversation about, and increase our understanding of, this river that is the lifeblood of our region.
