first: It's sick what Sven does, no attack, but there were many landings which were not laced perfectly, and I would expect a solid landing for someone who celebrate's himself like he does with all the medals and the glory.
second:
filming was quite bad, to many different cameras, shaky, to many cuts, to fast.
BUT:
its good what he does, he pushes our sport and it hopefully gets more recognition by the puplic in the future
-the question is : do we want to have that ?
as a filmmaker it's always possible to match each camera's settings ( white balance, film presets, shutter etc. ) before shooting. this is not a matter of time, and an idea like this needs better camera operations.
Feels like a videogame!!!
Nice mixing on the music and good to see the use of the copter shots.
But, I would agree with Peter Bender that the execution of the production, at least this 10min clip we have seen so far, could have been a lot better.
1) The camera work was too inconsistent. Some shots were well framed and planned, most of them just average, and a few completely misplaced and too far from the action.
But camerawork isn't the real problem here, it's the editing.
2) Since the concept of the tricks Sven performed in this video have a lot to do with where he performed them, I (having so far never visited the cities the spots were at) wanted to get a nice, clean, lasting shot of the maneuvre performed. Instead, there is way too much multicam editing, often just in the highpoint of the trick. It's confusing, disorientating, and drawing my attention away from what I really want to see.
The tricks are so huge, there is no need for so many cuts to make them seem bigger.
3) The duration of the shots where the tricks are performed are too short compared to all the other shots of the spots, the crowd, the bladers and the goofying around. That makes it seem as it is all equally important, which isn't true. I wouldn't mind seeing the same trick repeated from a few angles instead of the cuts in the middle of the trick, as mentioned above.
4) I would have preffered if the names of the locations of the spots could have been overlayed on top of the montage instead of the distracting bright backgrounds appearing way to many times during the whole edit.
The idea of Cityhopper is way too good not to deserve a better presentation to the outside world.
Hope the documentary does a better job at that than this did.
Cheers, Mario

Sven is on another level! Insane..
But - I actally agree with Peter and Mario. Could have been done better than this.
Filming and editing wasn't on top. Some color correction could have made this a lot better.
Still.. I'm damn lovin' it!
Keep it real, Emil
this one is really fresh!
