every day the possibility of beauty exists.
sometimes, stuck in traffic,
on holiday, arriving somewhere early,
you catch a glimpse:
that lovely cluster of flowers
sunlight filtering through leaves, a striking door.

when you see a photograph packed edge to edge
with something vivid, lovely
it’s easy to imagine the reality beyond that frame
was equally ideal.

just as, when walking through a city,
through your normal everyday,
it’s easy to let the clutter
hide the bits of beauty, the layered stories.

this video was created for my second gallery show [07sep07] of nineteen photographs
from my one-month trek through spain, switzerland, germany, czech republic & england
[may 2007]. the photographs captured those bits i found in the midst of the ordinary. the
video shows that beyond the frames of each of those, is everyday life.
