In 1956 Anne Baulch and a group of friends purchased a Kombi van and bravely, or foolishly, set out on the Stuart Highway, just a dirt track at the time headed for Central Australia via Alice Springs to Ayers Rock. They documented the journey on Kodachrome, and more than 55 years later the images still shine with glorious intense colour.
