Hi everyone, okay here is my first test of the modified Bausch & Lomb Cinemascope Lens + Nikon 24mm lens shot on the GH2. I machined the housing to cut out about 1.5 inches in the lens housing. That allowed me to use a wider lens. In my original test I was only able to use about a 50MM lens on the original Bausch & Lomb Cinemascope lens. This is the raw footage; Edited in final cut pro 7 then exported to After Effects using Boris xml import. This was need as I cant really control the aspect ratio in FCP. In after affects setting proper aspect is easy. I set to 2x1920 = 3840. So 3840x1080 is the final comp. With the 24mm lens you can see the lens barrel but I don’t think that’s a real problem, as very few people will keep it to this aspect ratio. Most will crop bring it to 2:35:1, completely removing the B&L lens vignetting'. I left it in just so that you can see the raw footage. The footage is raw, no corrections made. The footage is a bit shaky, sorry about that it was an impromptu first test.
