Faith is God’s gift to us that eliminates the need to worry about the future. But our sinful nature still desires the certainty of earthly matters being worked out for our comfort and for our preference. A growing trust in God’s promises is the best way to fight the fears of our hearts.

Today is also the conclusion of National Lutheran Schools Week. Messiah Lutheran School is a part of almost 1,000 elementary schools across the United States. Over the past 25 years, Lutheran Schools have been transitioning into a vital mission for congregations; reaching out to families and children who do not know Jesus as their Savior. A door offering will be taken after all services for the tuition assistance fund which is helping several families that are hurting from job loss or sickness.
