This is a video I created as a teaser for the National Summit on Good Governance to be held on March 15-16, 2012 in Manila.

The summit seeks to “Appreciate, Inspire, and Build Good Governance in Every Barangay.” It is a gathering of various individuals and networks mainly from the Church, with representatives from actual and potential partners, with the goal of encouraging parish communities and lay groups to get involved in the good-governance agenda at the barangay.

The barangay, as we know, is where every family, parish, barangay hall, precinct, business entity, school, mall, etc. is located. The summit recognizes the key role of faith in initiating and sustaining such endeavor. Using Appreciative Inquiry (AI) as its framework, the Summit aims to arrive at a common understanding of good governance for united and effective action for local communities.

The gathering features the sharing of stories on faith-inspired good governance engagement to recognize God’s presence in the good-governance work and to highlight fruitful efforts by individuals or groups for mutual consolation and for possible replication. It builds upon faith-impelled efforts and reflects on the teachings of the Church.
