My brother and I fell in love with this project. We are traveling around the country documenting the recession and telling America's story

Neat idea but these cam/zoom movements are waaay beyond tolerable limits - I'm only at 1:35 but I already feel the urge to shout 'stop jerking with the zoom, stop moving around, it's annoying!'

yeah, I know its not for everyone.

I'm with 'szlevi' - the idea is there, I love the simple approach and aesthetic of the whole '50 People One Question' project, and I know you are trying to recreate the look and feel of the originals shot by Deltree, but I think the camera movements are a bit too hyper. Not saying I can do better, in fact I struggle with how much of that style is appropriate when shooting that way, trying to figure out where the line is, between adding to the overall feel and distracting from the message because its just too much. That would be my only constructive criticism, otherwise keep up the good work!

Do you mind sharing with everybody what camera and/or lens you used for this footage?

hmm. That is the best looking quality wise video ive seen from that cam. Im looking into getting one but I need to somehow justify spending that much.

    How do you like it?

I love it. Only downsides I would say are: no variable frame rates, and transcoding the footage is a process.

Well done, I like it. I can't say I think the question is the best possible question you could ask, but maybe that's just because I first watched Benjamin Reece's more open-ended versions. (If you could wake up anywhere tomorrow, where would it be?) I feel like those questions say more about the people answering them than a political question.
However, if you're trying to document what's going on right now, it works.
