Join Steve Weiss, Jens Bogehegn and Scott Lynch as they give a rundown of Zacuto's various types of follow-focuses.

Steve receives daily e-mails from customers asking why they need a follow focus. This video provides all the answers, demonstrating how the product allows operators or their assistants to pull focus. Available in both studio configurations, single-sided or double-sided, these Z-Focuses include a Helicel gear adjustment screw that allows operators to tighten up gear play. A magnetic dry erase disc allows the focus puller to log distance marks for repeatable follow focus. Prepare to get acquainted with Zacuto's Z-Focus, Lightweight *Flippable* Z-Focus, Lightweight Double-Sided Z-Focus, Studio *Flippable* Z-Focus, and Studio Double-Sided Z-Focus. The Zacuto Z-Focus can be purchased online at store.zacuto.com/z-focus.html

ok, i am almost sold. I have a lot of respect for how your company recently preforms. But with the double sided FF you need to clearify something for me: is there a lens-gear that actually works with the double sided follow focus? I mean when you look at 09:40 you can see that the two follow focuses limit the rotation of the lens to half a rotation. Due to the knob of the lens gear. I guess that would be a major issue with the lenses I use. So Steve, are you planing on bringing out a stiff lens gear that doesn´t have this knob? Otherwise I would say the whole cocept of the double sided FF is useless. Oh, and let´s hope proaim in India doesn´t know that vimeo exists.

Is it possible to reverse the direction of the gears?
i.e: as I roll the focus towards me it will focus away, iwant to reverse the direction so if an object is walking towards the camera I can rack in the same direction. It's what I'm used to after 25 years in TV and Film.

This follow focus with 2 gears on both sides makes absolutely no sense. When used with ZipGear lens it can`t rotate more than 180 degrees.
