Clear for iPhone: realmacsoftware.com/clear

Clear is designed to help you manage your life without adding clutter. It's a beautifully-designed, gesturally-driven app that we've created to improve on a pencil and notepad for flexibly keeping quick, simple todo lists.

Clear was designed and built by Realmac Software, Milen.me and Impending, Inc.

Simply amazing. What a wonderful example of how new UI paradigms can exist outside of the bounds of standard controls. Well done, can't wait for it!

Looks cool. I'll probably be burned at the stake for thinking this but the UI looks very Windows "metro-ish"

Look at all the replies: most people want this app - before it even came out!
    and why?
because this movie is good, thats why: short, concise and to the point.

    very good work.

This looks great! I hope there is a gesture to move an item into a different list.

I have tried different task apps, but find myself often banging out a To Do list in the Notes app, just because its easiest way for me to jot down a quick list for the day. Maybe this app can finally replace that-

Everything looks great, except for your company's icon. It looks like someone used photoshop on the Clear wireless logo and just changed colors and added a few warping filters. Now you're going to have an app named Clear? I'm not sure that's a good idea.

This needs to have some sort of sync with a web interface or iCal or Google Tasks / Calendar. The ability to add repeating tasks would be awesome.

Going by the fact that this is iOS 5+ only, iCloud integration seems a given. :)

I owned all Realmac Apps and I feel as a number one supporter. Even if I was already using an app the day they launch the same app on Mac App Store I bought it again! That's how I love this company. Here's come the BUT.

BUT this app is not Apple like... Is more Windows Phone 8. I have a feeling that maybe you guys want to expand or something and this is your first project for that. A very generic design as simple as Windows Phone that fits iPhone like a glove.

    No hate, just an observation.

    All beautiful everything.

really nice! but I thought the idea was to "make room" for new tasks by moving items out of the way? The clearing gesture kinda goes against this. Scrolling list down will make task popup at the top, so why wouldn't scroll list up make a task popup at the bottom?

Do you really need both hands to create a new to-do item?Don’t you think that this is a little fiddly for everyday life?

    SCENARIO:

You are such a busy person, you've gone through more to-do apps than you can count. You download Clear and you are excited to use it.

You are rushing on your way to work one day, coffee in hand. You remember you need to pick up your laundry on your way home from work.

Well too damn bad! You need two hands to use this app. You go to to work with dirty underwear the next day.
  • Nik Fletcher 2 weeks ago
I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the ability to use the app one-handed :)

[Disclosure: I work on Clear, and I'm the person & hands shown using the app in this video]

  • Hey guys, watch out, there's a guy on the app store doing some business with all the hype this app has generated amongst us iPhone users. I was recently guided to an app store page -thru an article published in the Zite app- where a very similar app is being sold for a buck by some Reejo Samuel. The app name is Clear, the icon looks exactly the same and the user interface is what the concept version for this app must have looked like -at the very early stages.

I fall for it, now am looking for a refund!

    Have you noticed this?

App looks great. You should use iframe embed code on your website though. Its a bit strange one cant view a trailer for ios on an ios device without navigating to the vimeo page.
  • Ben Counsell 6 days ago
This was due to an "embed play limit" vimeo places on accounts. We had a lot of views and hit that limit!

We are using the HTML5 embed code and the video is playing nicely on the website / iOS devices now :)

Does it really make that much noise?... I don't need so many bleeps/bloops while I'm clearing tasks or creating new ones. Sounds like I'm playing an arcade game.
