The GoodSpeaks project is built on the belief that more people will be willing to lend their support to NGOs, nonprofits, and charities when they are able to see them at work, and so we collect, organize, feature and distribute nonprofit video to news organizations, publishers, and to new audiences. We also feature video-making how-to's and other resources and showcase videos that serve as a source of inspiration to the nonprofit & NGO community.
Our mission is to help all charitable organizations--especially smaller organizations working at the grassroots level--self-report through video to increase visibility and support. Our vision is to serve as a sort of news agency for brief, relevant, and compelling nonprofit video: training and assisting charitable organizations in using video to self-report, collecting and curating this video, and finding new ways to distribute nonprofit video via publishers, news organizations, social media, and apps for SocialTV, Second Screen, tablets, mobile and other media.
Based in the Washington, DC area, GoodSpeaks is an ever-evolving, open-source, mostly volunteer project of the 501(c)3 organization SpaceforGood.
