Everything Starts Small
4 weeks ago
A helpful reminder, with music. Made to commemorate the relaunch of my portfolio and blog at bombsfall.com
This was done with After Effects and Soundforge over the course of a couple of days. I got to experiment with new styles and new techniques. I'm reasonably happy with how it turned out.
10 points to those who can identify the song the snake is playing on the xylophone.
There's a very good chance some of these guys will end up on prints in the very near future. Stay tuned.

awsome work
Was that tuba sound made with AE's tone generator? It sounds like it almost could have been!
Lovely characters, interesting textures, and I agree with Lucas Redfern Brooking about the sparks!
Hope you don't mind if I ask how did you achieve that wiggling edge effect?
Keep doing this charming animations!
Yo can use this instead of precomping and applying time posterization, as you can control the evolution every x frames (50 degrees every 2 frames in this example):
degreesPerTick = 50;
framesPerTick = 2;
value + Math.floor(timeToFrames(time)/framesPerTick)*degreesPerTick
This was the solution I stumbled on, hope you can take advantage of this in the future and thanks for your (really) detailed explanation ;)
