In my experience, there are three possible outcomes when you hand notes to complete strangers, depending on the contents:
(1) it might make them mad,
(2) it might make them smile, but you won't ever know about it*, or
(3) it might make them smile, and then eat sushi with you, and then you'll have a new friend.
*I'm not sure I mentioned this in the recording: the second note i talk about was left on the person's car, not handed to them.
