See all Show me
What it does: it maps the sound frequencies in 255 groups ranging from low (0) to high (255). The volumes of these groups are coupled to the brightness of an image captured by a camera/webcam. Low frequencies are represented by the darker parts of the image, higher frequencies by lighter parts. Every R, G or B component acts independent, tuning in on it's specific frequency. R, G and B are optically blended by your eye to create new colors that represent the sound/music being recorded. The image you see only represents sound volume, mapped by the image according to the images brightness and corresponding frequencies: without sound nothing is visible. Made with processing 1.0 & the fft library.
