The PLAYgreen festival, hosted by Cal Rec Sports, is an exciting new event for people who want to play, live and work a greener lifestyle.

About the Festival

Highlights from the festival include an eco art show, how-to sustainability workshops, a green film competition, and deliciously sustainable food samples from local restaurants.

Campus and student groups such as ReUse, Student Sustainability Education Coordinators, Green Bike Share, ASUC, and the Office of Sustainability will be on hand to share how they are tackling the issue of sustainability and to demonstrate how you can green your lifestyle – both on campus and beyond.

We at Rec Sports believe that the pursuit of personal wellness should be done in a way that takes the health of the planet into consideration. With that goal in mind, we’ve created PLAYgreen – an initiative where we hope to share what we as a department have done to reduce our ecological footprint, and what others across campus are doing to help maintain a healthy planet.
