On Sunday 22nd January 2012 Stoycho Danev and Mark Nolan, 2 photographers living in Inishowen, Co Donegal, spent a number of hours chasing auroras around Malin Head. The video includes photos from Banbas Crown, Ballyhillin, Portmore Pier, the cliffs at Prockagh, Carrickabraghy Castle at the Isle of Doagh and the car park at Ardmalin.
Auroras visible from Ireland are rare but hopefully, with the current solar cycle, this will happen more often over the coming year.
