Bricks and Mortar Media's third installment of daily footage from their documentary about the legendary open mic at San Francisco's Hotel Utah Saloon.

For the third installment of the dailies, we put together a small collage of industry leaders talking about the excellence of the Hotel Utah open mic and the importance of open mics in general. You all know JJ. Tim Westergren is the founder of Pandora, which is without question the finest place to hear music on the internet and boasts over 20 million registered listeners. Tim also spent ten years playing in bands in California, so he knows exactly where we're at. If you don't know Eric McFadden, consider this your introduction. He is the resident guitar master of San Francisco. In addition to fronting the Eric McFadden Trio and playing in the all-star band Stockholm Syndrome (with Dave Schools, Danny Lewis, Jerry Joseph, and Wally Ingram), Eric's played with George Clinton and others. If that isn't enough, he jumps on local stages with the best. A couple months ago I watched him and Warren Haynes rip at the Govt. Mule show at the Fillmore. He's an unbelievable talent, and Hotel Utah Open Mic alum.
