As the saying goes "there's nothing new about news" but American news becomes intriguing when you slice it up and reformat it. So what does recalled salami, a dog rescue attempt, an imagined dialogue between Angelina Jolie and Cora-Ann Mihalik, vintage instructional films of meat processing, detergent and swine, and Conan O'Brian have to do with with one another? Go figure. Edited to a funky bass line and cut up British humor which includes Bill Bailey and Eddie Izzard and many other - the soundtrack was created by Brett Grace who recalls "I remember reading something years ago that NEWS is supposed to be an acronym for the major points of the compass:North, East, West, South. I'd prefer it to be called SWEN or maybe even SEWN ? as in "Stitched up" ? nah SWEN is funnier."
