In this video tutorial, I will show you how to take an underexposed image and get more details out of the dark and underexposed areas.
If you are TOTALLY NEW to photoshop this tutorial might be a bit to heavy.
If you are an ADVANCED photoshoper this tutorial can be very helpful.
I'll begin with taking my raw image into camera raw, run a basic adjustment over it and afterwords open in photoshop. Secondly I'll create some duplicate layers and rasterize these. Save my original layer as a smart object and take my third layer through the smart object button back into camera raw.
Brighten it extremely up " watch out for noise & halos " and bring it back to photoshop. Create a black mask and brush your details back with a white foreground color. Afterwords I'll do some fine-tuning and my image showed be better then before.
This technique resulted a quicker and easier workflow with photoshop and a way to get details back out of an underexposed image.
