Hot August summer nights on the island of Samos in Greece.
The night of August 17th till 18th in the early morning: Charity event in Kastaneá (municipality of Karlóvasi).
10:30 pm in the night, musicians playing on the square (platia) in Kastaneá.
An attempt to play high-speed bouzouki, taking into account to sacrifice this beautiful part of a Mikis Theodorakis instrumental tune.
Dancing usually doesn't start before midnight.
Atmosphere was very good, lots of fun. Incredible selection and amounts of tasteful food. Men sweating a lot while taking care of souvlakia on the grill.
Imho music was, as almost always on these occasions, much too loud and distorted. The greeks are used to it, they don't mind, first they eat and trink, then they dance and dance and dance ... !
