The rate of which companies are required to push the boundaries of product innovation, customer retention and build brand equity is out of control. The traditional debate of buy vs. build is becoming more a one horse race as simply the debate is making you lose time to market and risk being over run by your competitors. Bad news for the sleep deprived product managers, great news for entrepreneurs, irrelevant if it is food products, clean tech or the next mobile technology. However, before you sit back and comfortably watch another episode of Dr House, this is also your worst enemy.
As entrepreneurs we all want to be at the cutting edge and grow our business, does this all mean I need to give up on great skiing in Switzerland and move to Silicon Valley? Can we not just be a part of it, but also lead this rapid change when sitting in a sleepy village in Europe?.
