I only have used it once and it seemed sharper than the HC3, but I wish it had the same type of macro mode as the HC3. Im looking to try it in AV mode at F8 for more DOF.
Finally a place to share HD !!!
flippin sweet! i think i like best.... the lady bug crawling, almost slipping off then taking off.
The lady bugs were fun to video.
Sick video Joey!
look at those colors. wow.
Some of these bugs are only a few millimeters and Im addicted to to see the details.
It was hard to edit because it was some of my fav's from about 7 episodes that were 2-5 minutes each. It's sort of a best of so I figured a little longer wouldn't hurt . If people watch the whole thing that's awesome.
The rest I'm trying to keep shot and sweet . Thanks for the suggestion.
i especially loved the shot of the extreme close up of the spider and you could see you in the reflection of his eyes, it looked very intimidating for the spider lol
amazing! did i say wow? :)
you should SO get the HD version of this on vimeo. i would love to see it in HD.
This was shot mostly with my HDR-HC3 with either a reversed 50mm slr lens or through my 180mm slr macro lens. There is a picture of it in my profile pictures.
I gotta say, this must be the coolest macro shots I've seen. The one where you can see your reflection in the spider's eyes as well as the grasshopper's eye texture is absolutely incredible! Excellent job, man!
Here's my 1st trial at the macro world:
