GeoSonix is a free open source graphical music sequencer. It's now available for Mac and Linux and Windows.

The latest beta version (free and open source) is available for download from bitbucket.org/chrisgr99/geosonix/downloads Be sure to always choose to download the most recent version from the bitbucket site.

This example demonstrates GeoSonix ability to schedule the running of cursors and its ability to hide objects when they are not running. GeoSonix is using MIDI to drive FM8 hosted in AbletonLive. The triggers all contain the following message: "midi://vMidi1/note 0 {mapToScale(cursorXPosition, 42,0,22, 4,chordMajor13 )} triggered {map(cursorYVelocity, -3000,3000,100,3000)} ". This sets the note pitch based on the cursor X position, through the harmony processor mapped to a major13 chord. Note durations are controller by the cursor Y velocity. All cursors contain the message "midi://vMidi1/cc 0 1 {map(cursorYPosition,-2,4,0,127)} " which sends the Mod Wheel MIDI controller, controlling vibrato, mapped from the cursor Y position.
