Antique Italian Giltwood Console with Conforming Carerra Marble Top -Good Antique Conditon Commensurate with Age – Restorations

This magnificent antique Italian Giltwood console has ornamentation influenced from the French Regence Period and Louis XV Period. There are symmetrical and asymmetrical shells, patterned grounds, cherubs, putti, attenuated acanthus leaves, smiling masks, beading, rocaille c and s-scrolls, scrolling flowering vines, and florets. The conforming marble top is carerra marble. Italian giltwood furniture of this caliber was made strictly for the aristocracy of the day.
