My 18month old watched this with utter fascination (and he's not interested in TV/video in general) and proceeded to blow raspberries along with Leta!!
1. Fartlingual- brilliant.
2. I was pleased to note that I was pronouncing Leta correctly, it's something that has itched at the inside of my brain for a while now, wondering if I was thinking it right.
3. Fart noises are funny.
It's contagious. I couldn't help but to roll with laughter when she laughed, and just now I could here my 27 month old spitting farts- 1 room over. Love that Leta!
Heather ... turn the sound off and watch it .. amazing how expressive she is, acting career perhaps?! and I agree with Julia .. she is totally digging how Jon is reacting...
(oh yes, and I was cyber-prouncing her name wrong too, thanks for clearing that up !!)
It's called the Language of Wonderment...any Mom would recognize that anywhere...it beguiles, enraptures, captures and causes grown men known as "Daddy" to melt into puddles. Leta has learned how to conjugate the language very well ;-)
Eep! I've been pronouncing Leta's name wrong in my head for as long as I've been reading. Yipes. I thought it was Let-uh (rymes with meta and Etta) - but then I suppose it would be spelled Letta. I'm not sure why I feel the need to share this but now I've rambled on and said it so there you have it. I'm such a dork. Thank you for sharing the video. All my best.
My "little" girls are now 18 and 20...enjoy those wonderful little girl giggles....you won't be hearing them much longer. Sigh.
I have an audio tape of my son singing "Way High Up in the Gumdrop Tree, two little gumdrops smiled at me, etc, etc." Still gets to me...and he's 28 now.
What really worries me is that on the second time through I understood most of it. Including the spit/farting. Might be a good time for me to stop having children now.
I miss being a young Mom. Heather, you are soooo lucky. But of course, you know that. I had three boys and they were funny too. God, I miss that crazy kid stuff. My oldest is now 30, my middle child died of a drug overdose at the age of 25, and my youngest just turned 19. If you ever need a babysitter when you are in south Georgia (yeah, right), please call me. I think Leta is the girl child I never had. Thank you for sharing.
Sign language, hip hop and a made up language. What could be better? I love the siren in the background. Also, it was fun hearing the voices and laughter of the Armstrongs.
What a little goofball! The best thing about this video, is how Leta's laugh is totally contagious, and you and Jon can't help but laugh with her. It is priceless. :)
That was so funny, but I almost stopped watching because I was just positive that someone ate it outside at Parley's Summit when I heard the sirens. Leta's a little ham!
(I especially dig the shoulder shimmy myself!)
Like, wow.
Fartilingual! Bwahahaha! ;o)
Caryn R - If you ever search YouTube for 'Laughing Baby' you'll find some classics. Had my 5 month-old in stitches last night. :)

She's about the only thing I'll turn my sound on for and she's worth it every time. Quite charming.

She is so cute.
