Shaylynn Raphaelito, Navajo, Urban Athletics Athlete

Shaylynn as a child moved with her siblings to an Indian reservation in New Mexico. Her parents instilled in her a love for fitness but more importantly the value of a good education. Shay made the most of her opportunities and lives now in New York City expanding her network while continuing her running. The documentary "Run to the East" brought back many memories of her formative years. She inspired her younger sister to work with organizations that better the lives of Native American youth.
