This was shot as an experiment for the class - film and video art at GVSU. I shot each timelapse with the Canon 7D using RAW .CR2 files which I then processed using Adobe Camera RAW through Bridge CS5. I then imported the RAW image sequences into After Effects CS5 and exported them as ProRes422LT maintaining the native resolution of the files as 5K.
I edited the entire piece in Final Cut Pro X in 4096x2048 resolution and finished the project at 4K. Say what you want about Apple's dumbing down of Final Cut Pro, but the fact that I can edit native 4K sequences in realtime on a 17" MacBook Pro quad core is very very impressive to say the least.
