    I've always been nervous about sleeping in one of those capsule hotels.

    I'm worried that I'll fall asleep and not notice that my capsule was shot into space. Last thing I need is to woken up by the voice of HAL 9000 and a disturbing rendition of "Daisy Bell."

    is it true that they lock you in at night and you have to ring a bell to make someone let you out? that's what i've been told, and what made me a bit scared.

    no that's not true. at least not in the one's i stayed in. I slept in three different ones in three major cities.
