During the ice formation process the ice crystals form in a variety of shapes and sizes each unique to their hyper-local environment. This macro scale ice simulation is based on ice accumulation and growth logic. The growth of individual crystals is simulated by a change in size and scale dependant on the orientation of the particle relative to the host surface and environmental conditions. The colour of the particles in this simulation is representative of their age, and therefore potential size.
