In Vienna, Austria, 220 participants from 30 countries met to discuss more precise measuring methods, as well as best procedures for reducing damage to secondary tissues and preventing further occurrence of cancer in patients undergoing radiation treatment. The meeting is under the aegis of EURADOS - the European Radiation Dosimetry Group - which organized the meeting in cooperation with the IAEA Radiation Safety and Monitoring Section and the Seibersdorf Laboratories in Austria. Since 2002, the EURADOS Annual Meeting has been a key event for the radiation dosimetry community.
