A beautiful lake?? I'm afraid not, its the Waihi tailings dam facility less than 1km from the township of Waihi population approx 4500.
We are concerned the dust from the dam gets spread over the neighbouring properties in windy weather and as a result of activities on site. We are also concerned about how this dam would be "contained" in the event of a massive earthquake...
