..."nebenher" ist ja überwiegend meine vorgehensweise.
wenn ich mit meinen leuten unterwegs bin und mal 1 min zum filmen stehen bleibe, sind die taff weitergelaufen und um alle ecken davon...lol ;D

Olaf, soon after I wrote my answer to Wolfgang I read the translation of what you wrote and discovered it was the same thing that I had said. Hehehe.
Wolfgang, I actually walked out of a Wim Wenders' film once because I thought I had to. It was a beautiful film and it took me a long time to forgive myself for walking out on it. I still don't forgive myself completely. I'll tell you all about it sometime.

Incredibly, now that you mention it, he shot it with a Sanyo Xacti HD1000. It is in the tag. But he has some high powered pro quality video camera's in his arsenal as well. I forget exactly which ones. But rightfully so. Wolfgang Gaebler is a good filmmaker. You can see that for yourself. Just watch any of his films.

I can see how the camera's grip can smoothen out things, but was he maybe also using a dolly/bicycle?

i guess the cam was hand held all the time. i suspect
wolfgang used the sight-seeing bus, that sometimes causes a kind of dolly effect.

Thanks Olaf, the Sony PMW-EX1 XDCAM Camcorder with its, best of both worlds, novel focus ring function, and its manual or automatic zoom function. Neither of which functions the Sanyo HD1000 has.

Hi guys, I've only used the Xacti, a mono pod for some stabilization and the tourist bus as a dolly... ;-)) - There had been many other tourists stabilizing the bus a little bit... ;-)))

Ich habe ein "wt-1003 basic-einbeinstativ". Such' mal auf ebay danach, da gibt's das Teil für wenig Geld und ich benutze es schon über 2 Jahre und es ist immer noch okay. Was ich über die meisten sonstigen Billig-Stative, die ich schon probiert habe, nicht sagen kann. Die waren meistens nach einem Jahr hinüber...

The caption and stable footage is very good. But, i think, you put high level of MBL, so, the nature colors was loose, strange because the important is landscapes not the effect. Good work. Thanks.
