According to Ayurvedic Yoga, when the heat of summer is on, our bodies and minds need cooling food, cooling thoughts and cooling asanas. Here, I suggest you learn the Summer Series, and then do the whole second half (after the cat series) holding each pose for 3-4 long breaths. The ratio of breathing is 1:2, which means the exhale is very long. This will calm the nervous system and cool the body while lengthening your muscles and nourishing the skin. If you choose to do it as one long flow, then keep it very cool with the breath ratio at 1:2.
