Hi, My name is Biachi Notaro. I wrote this song thinking about my father and it was written during the Gulf War and then, when the Iraq war began, I just had to put this song on my 4th record with my band Castles In Spain. One of my best friends (Alexandra Lasky) insisted she film the video for this song. Her neighbor "Randy Larson” is one of her closest friends and he continues to inspire her in so many ways. He is the main character in this video. Randy is still to this day, struggling with life, trying to get by even after years of service to our country. This is obscene as far as I'm concerned, and our veterans should get their arses kissed MORE than any celebrity or politician does on a regular basis! My father has ALWAYS inspired me. (still alive and majorly kicking life in it's arse) He was a front line gunny sergeant in the Marines for 22 years! He survived World War 2, Korean and Vietnam War. He also managed to raise my brother and I, and he fought even though he never liked the idea of war. My father is a die hard Democrat who believes we should always look out for each other and without any second thought, and try to be humanitarians on a daily basis. My father entered the military because his family was very poor. He was the middle child out of 8 children and wanted to help his parents not worry about one more mouth to feed. He also wanted to help out protect our country and have some kind of meaning in life. Ya know, it's funny how much we look up to people that are famous, been on television and/or the radio but when it comes to our armed forces, we really do not get "star struck". We should show absolute admiration and bow down to these amazing and unselfish human beings. This video is dedicated to not only my wonderful father, but to ALL of our military forces past and present and for doing the unselfish act of joining the armed forces. A tribute to our Veterans, the United States Military and to my amazing father. I love you all and thank you to all of you for being there for us! Peace and strength with wisdom and humility. You're Not Forgotten
