In the Mt Hamilton, east of San Jose, many big telescopes and astronomy observatories stand high above. Not my best footage, therefore... heavily color graded (mostly using Red Giant Software's "Magic Bullet Movie Looks"). Shot with a Canon HV20, edited with Sony Vegas Pro 8. Music and video are licensed separately under the Creative Commons "BY" license.

    Still some nice shots. Colors look fine now.
    With FCP you could also get rid of the wobble

    Yup, takes forever to process though. :)
    I heard about up to an hour for a few seconds of steadiness.

    Yes. I just run it overnight on the worst fragments of the video if necessary. And yes it slightly degrades the video but sometimes you have no alternative.

    Wow! Pretty good video. Watching this brings back memories of when I visited Mt. Hamilton in 1995 while I was between classes at the SUN campus in Milpitas.
