The ASCAP Music Cafe was at the end of Main St and had a bands playing throughout the festival. It was a medium sized tent that fit 200 people comfortably. We got to see a bunch of acts. None we were really hyped on. Except Rachel Yamagata. Oh, and the Gin Blossoms. Gin Blossoms came with the hits. The singer's name is Bif Del Monte. Did you know that? 3 years ago while I was living in Brooklyn I read on Rachel's Blog that she wanted to start a punk band. I emailed her and told her that 3/4 of my band at the time was Asian and that we should start an all Asian Punk Band. She actually wrote back and was super stoked, but said that she was on tour. That was the year she did ACL for the first time. It would have never have happened, but I brought it up when I talked to her. I was nervous.
